Evolutionary Robotics is an automatic process of generation, selection, and reproduction of artificial brains and morphologies for autonomous robots without human intervention.

I shall describe a series of experiments of increasing complexity where wheeled, legged, and flying robots develop a large variety of smart and often surprising abilities that depend solely on the features and challenges of the environments where they are evolved.

I will then comment on the future of this growing approach to autonomous learning robots and its possible applications.
